The students continue to have school spirit. Tomorrow is Flannel day.

The 7th Grade Career Exploratory class has been working feverishly on their final project of the semester.
Their mission was to choose a career that they are interested in, and then research the following:
*Education and/or training needed
*Potential salary
*Appropriate work attire
*Tools or equipment used
*Special skills needed
They have also evaluated their own strengths and weaknesses and were to apply these to this particular career. What are they already good at that could help them in this field? What do they need to work on?
The students could then choose whether to present this information in report form, a google slide presentation, or a poster.
For bonus points, they were encouraged to interview someone in their chosen career.

Don't forget... The Senior Auction is tonight! The baskets will be displayed in the commons area, and will be available for bidding by silent auction. The live auction for the work teams will be during halftime of the girls varsity game.
Come out, cheer on the Mavs, and support the Class of 2025!!!

This young lady earned a RARE award for being kind and helpful to her friends. Mrs. January presented her with this award for being empathetic. Great job!

We had great help after the Christmas concert cleaning up and getting the gym in order for Wednesday morning. These 3 boys did a lot of the work along with one of their dads. They all earned RARE awards for having RARE Character for helping Mr. Regier. Thanks!

Reminder about the live and silent auctions at the games as well!

SPS Parents,
This morning we conducted a HOLD in classroom drill in collaboration with local LE agents and their K9 drug detection dogs. During the drill students were in their classroom conducting normal business. These drills help ensure a safe school environment. Please reach out with any questions you may have.

SPS K-5 Christmas concert starts at 7pm in the main gym. Concert can also be seen at our live stream link: https://fan.hudl.com/usa/ne/stapleton/organization/40010/sandhills-valley-high-school/video

Congrats to Head Basketball Coach Bo McVay on his 12th career win last Friday evening at Anselmo-Merna. Coach McVay does so much for our kids, staff and community. A dozen wins equals a dozen cans of caffeine and a dirty dozen donut holes! We are so grateful for him and wish him and the boys continued success this season! Go Mavericks!

Stapleton Community: Please see the following article regarding concerns surrounding "group-chat" activities involving our students. Link to article: https://www.stapletonschools.org/article/1912651
