8th Grade students were able to attend a field trip put on by the Natural Resource District in Thedford today. Students participated in many activities today despite the extreme heat. Students were able to measure stream velocity, dig to discover soil horizons, paticipate in a forestry scavenger hunt, learn a lot about Nebraska geology, were introduce to range, and learned about the food web by dissecting owl pellets.
The fourth graders also built bridges and then tested them to see whose could hold the most weight.
