The NHS students took their annual service trip to Lincoln. We started out our venture with a tour of our State Capital building, then went back in time to the Prehistoric Put Put Golf. Enjoyed a great supper at Cheddars and then went underground and experienced a fantastic tour of Robbers Cave. Finally to end our trip we helped sort boxes at the People’s City Mission. We found anything from fancy dolls, sunglasses, to sombreros! It was a great way to make an impact in Nebraska.

Maverick Golfers Win Triangular at Hyannis
It was a chilly, windy day Tuesday up in the sandhills by Hyannis. We did not golf our best, but did well enough to win the triangular. We were 3 strokes ahead of Garden Co. 212 to 215.
It was a good lesson to learn, even when you are not doing your best, keep going. It was a tough day for all the teams. Individually we had 3 who were in the top 6:
1st - Cole Kramer - 44
4th - Kyle Kramer - 53
6th - Braden Powell - 56
The crew is working hard. We know that being in class C this year will make districts a bit harder.

Physical Science students learned that 5+5 does not always equal 10. Students combined 5 mL of water with 5 mL of Ethanol. They were suprised to find the only got around 9.6 mL. What happened? Thats what they had to figure out.
We missed some students the first time!! They all deserve to be celebrated. Here is the updated Honor Roll for the 3rd Quarter. Congrats to all!
Due to state FFA, the track team will not be attending the Perkins County track meet next Friday. They will be attending the Sutherland track meet on Saturday, April 1st instead.
