No this is not an attempt by to me to put a new spin on Darwin's Evolution, but I'm very pleased to share this article with you. In it's Spring 2024 addition, UNK Today features our new for 2024 Pre-School Teacher, Katie Powers, in it's feature article. The article titled, "The Impact of Rural Scholarships", talks about how Katie finished her course work at UNK with help from The Hardesty Scholarship. The Hardesty Scholarship honors Kearney State College graduates Carol (Weaver) Hardesty and her husband Larry Hardesty. Larry is a 1965 graduate of Stapleton High School. How cool that a Stapleton alumni has played a part in helping us bring Katie on to our team in 2024.
