Superintendents Desk

To begin this month, I’d like to thank our school’s Foundation Board, the community, and the many benefactors whose generosity has continued to bless all of us who work and learn here at the school.  Your example is certainly a testimony to the support for the youth, and quality of life here in Stapleton.  We have recently updated the foundations page.  Just click on the link at the top of the page to view and to stay updated on the workings of the board.  Currently we are working to expand on our GALA which has been held in March.  This year a banquet is being planned for the Friday before Memorial Day, with a special invitation to past alumni of Stapleton Public School, especially this year’s honor classes (e.g. 2024, 2014, 2004…).  In addition, the foundation would like to also make a special effort to stay in touch with our alumni, so if you are an alumni or know someone who is, please ask them to reach out and provide the foundation with their contact information.  To do so follow the foundation link at stapletonschools.org.

In addition, this month I’d like to thank our students, teachers, coaches, sponsors, and administrators for their efforts to compete and represent themselves, their families, their school, and their community.  As many have noticed, our Activites Director & Principal Mr. Johnson has engaged everyone in the process of taking inventory if you will, of the efforts we’re making to improve and be better.  And although we are certainly trying to “win more”, we are also aiming to help every student improve on those intangible qualities that will help them become the best they can be for themselves, and for everyone who relies or will come to rely on them in the future.

One more thing:  Parents and students, I would also like to inform you about a change to school dismissal.  On Fridays moving forward, we will have a 3:35 dismissal when we have a late start.  In other words, we will not have a 3:02 dismissal on Fridays when we have a late start.
