Greetings Stapleton Community!
August 1 has always been what I consider “New Year’s Day.” I know others don’t necessarily believe that, but if you ask most in education they would probably nod in agreement (or groan!). This “New Years” marks many new adventures for me. A new school, new students, new leadership positions and new opportunities. I am grateful for the chance to be the new high school Principal/Athletic Director at Stapleton Public Schools (and also our cooperative as Sandhills Valley Mavericks). This begins my 9th year as a certified educator. Stapleton will be the 4th school that I have had the pleasure to work for.
My vision as both Principal and Athletic Director can be summed up by the following: I want our students to have a memorable and valuable educational experience. That is a vague vision - and it is that way on purpose. Each individual who comes through our doors every day is a unique person with different views on what is “memorable and valuable.” My focus as an educator and leader is to provide avenues for students and staff to navigate their educational journey in a way that best suits them. Whether this is through traditional academics, developing trade skills, participating in sports and activities, or blazing a new trail, Stapleton Public Schools truly does offer something for everyone.
In my short time here it is apparent that this is a community that cares and comes together for the good of all. I felt right at home immediately because of the welcoming environment and immediate support I’ve received from so many of the residents of Stapleton. It is my steadfast goal to do everything within my power to support your students both inside and outside of the classroom.
I want members of the community to know that every decision I make throughout the 2023-2024 school year will be made with one goal in mind - provide our students with those valuable and memorable experiences. I welcome all comments, concerns and questions. Please do not hesitate to reach out at any time. I cannot wait to welcome you and your students to our school beginning August 16th. Cheers!

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to Stapleton Elementary School!
I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself. I am Bobbi Isom and I am honored to be the new principal at Stapleton Elementary School. I come from a family of educators and I am proud to have worked at every level within the school system for the last 34 years. Over the course of my journey, I have worked as a special education teacher, history teacher, principal, educational director at an alternative school, substitute teacher, and now principal at Stapleton Elementary School. I have degrees in special education, elementary education, middle level education, educational administration Prek -12 and special education administration birth - 21. To say I love learning is an understatement.
My family is also very important. I am married to Jerry Isom and have 2 children. I also have 5 grandchildren who are the light of my life. The oldest one starts college this fall and the youngest starts Kindergarten. My oldest granddaughter will be the third generation in our family to attend UNK. Yes, I am that old.
My family does not end with my own children. When I get a new class of students, or school of students I refer to them as my kids. In my heart they are all special to me and I appreciate the opportunity to share in each child’s educational experience. I am so excited to have our students back in our classrooms and the hallways filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning.
It is my mission to be compassionate and dedicated to the education of your child. I also strive for communication with all our families. I plan to utilize research-based practices and analyze academic data to determine current skill levels and to set goals for growth and improvement. I believe that a good foundation in elementary school is an important step to graduating from high school and preparing students to be productive citizens in society. I want them to be prepared educationally, socially and emotionally for the world so that they will prosper in it.
Please contact me at the school or by email at bobbi.isom@stapletonschools.org if you have any questions or concerns. I believe that communication is vital to your child’s success. Stapleton Public School also offers both a website, https://www.stapletonschools.org, and a phone app, SPS Broncos, where you can access staff information, lunch menu, school calendar, sports calendar and important notices.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Isom
Stapleton Elementary School Principal
