STAPLETON HIGH SCHOOL 2023-2024 SUPPLY LIST

 

ALL STUDENTS: 3 Boxes of Tissues to be given to your class sponsor.

Social Studies (Mr. Hynes)

  • All Classes 7-12
    • 2 college Ruled Notebooks 
    • 1 Three-Ring Binder
    • 1 Set of Highlighters (Pink, Yellow, Blue, Green)

 

Science (Mrs. Stewart)

6-8th Grade:

  • 1 pocket folder
  • Grading Pen
  • Pencil

9-12th Grade:

  • 2-3 inch three ring binder (9-12th Grade Only)
  • 2 dry erase markers
  • Pencils/Erasers/Grading Pens
  • Loose leaf paper or Spiral notebook
  • Scientific Calculator- all classes
  • Earbuds (only brought when needed)
  • Anatomy only- 24 count or larger box of colored pencils

 

Mathematics ( Mrs. Schrock)

  • 6-12 Grade Math: 
    • At least 2 Dry Erase Markers
    • Whiteboard Eraser
    • Pencils with erasers 
    • Red or Blue pens
    • 3 Ring Binder (at least 2”)  with loose leaf paper for notes and assignments
      • 9-12 grade students will need more paper than 6-8
    • Scientific Calculator (optional)- Casio or Texas instruments with a “shift”, “2nd” button.  Such as TI30XIIS or Casio fx-991ES/ 570ES Plus.

Business/Info Tech 

  • Accounting students - black extra fine point non-gel pens & sharp pencils
  • Freshman and Sophomores - 2 inch - 3 ring Binder

 

Physical Education (Mr. Deines)

Music (Mr. Regier)

  • 7th/8th Band
    • Red Standard of Excellence Book for your instrument
    • Blue Traditions of Excellence Book for your instrument
    • When renting an instrument, it will come from the school or Kittle’s Music in North Platte. We have a limited number of instruments at school, so some will have to come from Kittle’s. Percussion will need Vic Firth 5B drum sticks and black electrical tape to wrap the ends. Please put your name on your sticks!
    • Black shoes (all black is preferred), black socks, black slacks (if you’re in band and choir, you may want to stick with the band outfit and choose a white top for concerts)
      • These are for all marching band and pep band performances.

      • Should include: 1.5-inch binder, loose leaf paper, pencils, any highlighter, 8 divider tabs, plastic page protectors for music

    • Formal black and white outfit for concerts
      • Black or white dress, pants (no jeans), shoes, socks, and top (if you’re in band and choir, you may want to stick with the band outfit and choose a white top)

High School Band –Concert Dress: Black pants, black socks, black shoes (Band polo shirt provided) –Band instruments as needed; some instruments are available for student rental. High School Choir –Concert Dress: White long sleeve button down shirt or blouse; Black pants, black socks, black shoes Junior High Band & Choir –Concert Dress: White long sleeve button down shirt or blouse; Black pants, black socks, black shoes –JH Band: Band instruments as needed; some instruments are available for student rental. Elementary Band (5th & 6th Grade) –5th Grade Band Instrument Display tentatively scheduled for Tue. Sept 6, 7:00 pm

 

Agriculture and Industrial Technology (Nichols) All classes

  •    2” -3-Ring Binder with loose leaf paper
  •   Tabbed Subject Dividers (4 or more) recommended 
  • 1 college ruled notebook
  • Highlighters/pencils/pens

Agriculture Mechanics/welding/woodworking - (Nichols) Safety supplies

Required-**– Students will not be allowed to participate in shop activities if they do not have proper safetywear. Safety equipment is recommended to be left in the classroom Note - Materials for any projects must be paid for by the student

  •  Leather work boots **
  • 100% Cotton jeans  or coveralls (NO SPANDEX or other synthetic materials) **
  • Pack of Hair ties (for students with hair that is shoulder length or longer) **
  •  SPS supplies welding-students with one-size-fits-all safety glasses, gloves, helmets, and welding jackets. If you have items that meet minimum safety standards and fit you better, you are welcome to bring them.
  • Skull cap/ beanie/ baseball cap
  •  If you wear glasses, you may want to purchase safety glasses that fit over your prescription glasses. All safety glasses MUST be ANSI z87+ to be used in the SPS welding and woods lab. (z87+ means they’ve been tested for high-impact)
